Step by step: self-booking the Park trails

  1. Get your Marine National Park ticket. It is needed on the trails inside the Park, and advance purchase is online. The ticket’s QR code is used at the entrances.
  2. See which trails require booking: Atalaia, Capim-Açu, Morro São José, Enseada do Abreu and Pontinha-Caieira have a daily visitor limit, to protect the natural pools and corals.
  3. Ticket bought online: book through ICMBio’s online system, on the Park’s official website (parnanoronha.com.br), entering your ticket number.
  4. Ticket bought in Noronha: booking is in person, at the self-service kiosks of the Visitor Center, in Boldró, every day from 8am to 7pm.
  5. Book in advance. Spots are limited and in demand, and the ideal is to book one to two months ahead.
  6. Guide: some trails require a guide certified by ICMBio. One can be hired after booking, and the list of certified guides is on the Park’s website.
  7. On the day: check the tide table (the pools need low tide) and bring your ticket. Most spots open at 8am and close at 6pm.

What to bring

Land trails: sneakers or boots, hat or cap, insect repellent, comfortable clothes with sun protection, plenty of water and a snack. Water trails: mask, snorkel, fins and life jacket.

The information follows what ICMBio publishes. Rules, availability, schedules and prices change: always confirm on the Park’s official website. If you prefer not to worry about any of this, booking and guide can be handled for you.
